Back in 2020, our good friend Sam Cooper and his lovely wife Harriet packed all their belongings and two cocker spaniels into a second-hand camper van and set off on a golfing odyssey - to play every single links golf course in the UK.

He documented his trip with stunning photography, breathtaking drone footage and insightful writing informed by his encyclopaedic knowledge of links golf - a passion developed from an early age, learning the game at Royal Liverpool’s storied links.

Fast forward to today, and Sam has turned his passion for golf into a new career - as an associate with CDP, one of the world’s leading golf course architecture practices.

And he’s documented his epic journey in a series of beautifully-produced print journals. Each edition features 96 pages dedicated to a particular part of the country, with original writing, stunning photography and original illustrations from the hugely-talented Will Eager.

Issue one covers Liverpool and the surrounding region - starting with Sam’s home club at Hoylake, and taking in Royal Birkdale, Wallasey, Formby and HIllside, as well as lesser-known gems like Formby Ladies, Hesketh and West Lancs.
