There is an art to making a great five wood. Sadly, the big golf manufacturers gave up on art a long time ago.

This Sonartec SS07 is the best five wood you will ever experience. I've added about eight grams of head weight, bent the head to flatten the lie and to make it sit more open. The shaft is a Diamana Blue Board 93 x - the classic fairway wood shaft, and the one that Tiger used until they ran out. It's short and heavy, just like a five wood should be.

The custom paint job makes it feel like a Ford Granada from 1982.
