When our creative director Cathal showed us the sample of the Earlap Cap, we weren’t convinced. We’re all in favour of playing around with convention, but a trapper hat? On a golf course?

But then we tried it on. We adjusted the toggle on the back to make it nice and snug. With the earflaps up, it’s a great fitting cap that’s perfect for early morning starts. But with the flaps down... oh my goodness it’s a whole new world of warm.

You might get a few funny looks if you turn up for a winter league match with this on your head, flaps down and ready for action. But you’ll be the one laughing as you line up a five-footer for the match, as the sleet comes in sideways across the temporary green. Because they say that you lose 30% of your body heat through your head. And a warm head is a happy head.
