Shrinking the Game - the story of RNGC
A doff of the brim to Maurice Flitcroft, crane driver, dreamer and unlikeliest of golfing heroes. Inspired by watching the 1974 Piccadilly World Matchplay on TV, Maurice decided to enter the qualifying rounds for the 1976 Open Championship.
He wasn't going to let a little thing like a lack of ability hold him back, so he told the R&A he was a professional and carded a 36-hole score of 221 - the highest in the history of golf's oldest major.
He did the whole thing sporting a classic seventies bucket hat, and our version is the softest and most comfortable sunhat out there.
This limited-edition version sports the same hand-drawn print as our Good Times shirt, and features our signature Sounder ball marker and logo patch.
