In the very first Sounder business plan, there’s an old photograph of Ben Hogan and Arnold Palmer. The iconic duo are standing next to one another on the second tee at Augusta National in 1966, persimmon drivers in hand, cigarettes in their mouths, both wearing classic knitted cardigans. It captures everything that used to be cool about the game, and everything about how the pro game has lost its way over the subsequent half-century.

We’re never going to swing it like Hogan or wear a cardigan quite like Arnie, but we can all learn a thing or two from these style icons. Our new Hang Loose Hawk cardigan is an homage to those halcyon days - a time before sponsor’s logos, technical fabrics and oversized drivers.

It’s knitted from a soft and luxurious 12 gauge Merino wool, which is natural, breathable and sustainable. The relaxed fit adds a contemporary take on the classic styling, while ribbed cuffs and hem will keep everything out of your way on the course.
