Product details

The best driver head of all time? This one is in the mix.

How can this be? If we believe what we're told, every new model of every new driver goes further than the one before, which means we should all be hitting the ball 600 yards by now.

The truth is that since 2004, all driver heads have been right on the limit for ball speed off the clubface. Ever since, the manufacturers have added no end of adjustable cogs and weights to justify their ever-increasing prices - with little attention to how it sits, or whether players can hit different shots with it.

I prefer something more minimal, and the classic 282 head is exactly that. In fact, I daren't talk about why they are so good because it will just increase the prices that they fetch on eBay, and I'm building a stockpile so I've got a steady supply when the nuclear apocalypse arrives.

I play a Superquad 282 in my optimum set - this is your chance to own one too.
