The original Sounder golf ball was a key part of our vision for the company - to create a more honest and authentic golf brand for people who love the golf the game, not golf the industry.
We wanted to cut through the marketing hype and tour player endorsements that contribute to premium balls that cost £50 a dozen. We created a soft three-piece ball that felt great around the greens without giving up distance off the tee. We added original graphics so it looked great too, and then sold them direct to consumers with no retail mark up, before shipping them to you in environmentally-friendly organic cotton bags.
It seems that we really hit a nerve. Our original production run sold out, so we're thrilled to introduce an updated version of the Sounder golf ball.
The new ball retains a Tour-quality three-piece construction, and is still packed and distributed in our distinct ball bags - reducing packaging and making shipping more cost efficient.
After months of testing we've found a new cover that combines great feel with enhanced durability and stability, particularly in windy conditions. We've updated the graphics too, and run independent testing on most advanced launch monitors on the market to prove that our ball performs just as well as leading brands that cost up to 50% more.
Our direct-to-consumer model means we're able offer the Sounder ball at an unbeatable price - it's a product we're incredibly proud of and are happy to put our name on.
And you don't have to just take our word for it. The team at Golf Monthly put our ball through its paces and concluded:
"Both on the course and on the launch monitor, it was clear the Sounder ball offered good distance. There was very little to choose between the Sounder and the TaylorMade Tour Response during my driver launch monitor testing... I didn’t even notice any drop off in distance versus the golf ball I usually play - the Titleist ProV1x... The 7-iron data too, was solid. Carrying 166 yards with a mid-spin of 5313, I felt as if the Sounder ball offered a good blend of distance and stopping power in the mid irons. From the packaging to the branding, this was like nothing else I’ve tested this year."
